METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING BRIDGE PIER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently construct a bridge pier of which the cross-sectional shape is rectangular and which has a space internally, using mold forms formed from precast concrete.SOLUTION: Precast outer mold forms 16, 18 each divided into a plurality of parts in a peripheral direction of a bridge pier and comprised of precast concrete forming an outer peripheral surface of the bridge pier and precast inner mold forms 17, 19 forming a hollow inner peripheral surface of the bridge pier are confronted at intervals, and a mold form unit is formed by connecting these frames via a truss member 21. Hoops 13, 14 and both ends of an intermediate hoop 15 connecting them are buried in the precast outer mold forms and the precast inner mold forms. The mold form unit is placed on a formed portion of the bridge pier, and a plurality of mold form units are arrayed in a peripheral direction while excluding corners 2a of the bridge pier. In the corner, a U-shaped steel bar 24 is inserted and disposed along with extensions of hoops 13a, 14a projecting from the mold form unit.
