Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use recovered titanium scraps as a melting raw material, to add an additive, and to melt high-quality ingots.SOLUTION: Scraps 13 to which individual identification information 22 is assigned are passed through an automatic readout instrument, and the information is acquired and stored in a data server. In the initial stage of ingot 11 manufacturing, from the information stored in the data server, a computation unit calculates the necessary combination and the feed speed of each of scraps 13, sponge titanium, and additive so as to satisfy the target ingot 11 chemical composition and manufacturing speed. A signal corresponding to the result of calculating the combination and feed speed is sent from the computation unit to a feed speed controller of a feeder for each of the scraps 13, sponge titanium, and the additive, and feeding is started. In the stage after the start of ingot 11 manufacturing, a detector for detecting the drawn portion of ingots 11 reads the actual ingot 11 manufacturing speed, and the computation unit controls the feed speed of the scraps, sponge titanium, and the additive on the basis of the actual manufacturing speed.
