Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article sorting apparatus miniaturizing a drive mechanism and easily increasing or adjusting the moving distance by the change of a sheave diameter.SOLUTION: The article sorting apparatus is adapted to move a belt 3 stretched to circulate between two belt stretching rollers 1, 2 disposed to face on a carrier, when sorting articles. The two belt stretching rollers 1, 2 facing each other to stretch the belt 3 is constituted separately from a belt driving apparatus 3D including a pair of sheaves 4, 9 fixedly connected to the respective belt stretching rollers 1, 2, a pair of driven sheaves 5, 10 disposed coaxially with the sheaves 4, 9 and driven, a pair of movable sheaves 7, 8 disposed at a belt driving moving body 6 so as to face the driven sheaves 5, 10, and a wire rope 14 stretched to be wound between the respective sheaves. The belt 3 is moved at least three times the movable distance by the movement of the moving body 6.
