Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of wear debris and thereby prevent various problems attributable to wear debris in performing rotation positioning of a cylindrical object W while moving and rotating the cylindrical object W on its side.SOLUTION: A rotation positioning device of a cylindrical object includes: a rotation roller 20 that abuts against the cylindrical object W on a rail member 3; a roller rotation mechanism 21 for driving the rotation roller 20 rotatably; a roller approximating and distancing mechanism 22 that approximates the rotation roller 20 to the cylindrical object W on the rail member 3 or distances the rotation roller 20 from the same; and a roller moving mechanism 23 that moves the rotation roller 20 along the rail member 3 while causing it to be synchronized with a gathering pallet 5. The roller moving mechanism 23 is provided with a preceding gathering pallet 53 that abuts against a part of the cylindrical object W before the rotation roller 20 abuts against the cylindrical object W, and distances the cylindrical object W on the downstream side of the gathering pallet 5 in the conveying direction. The preceding gathering pallet 53 is provided with a rotor 54 that rotates in a driven manner by receiving rolling motion power from the cylindrical object W rotated by the rotation roller 20.
