APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING POSTURE OF ON-VEHICLE CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for detecting posture of an on-vehicle camera precisely detecting the posture of the camera.SOLUTION: The apparatus for detecting posture of an on-vehicle camera includes a pre-movement image storing unit 20 that stores an image of a calibration sheet 200 captured through the camera 10 as a pre-movement image, a pre-movement camera posture estimating unit 24 that estimates the posture of the camera 10 based on the pre-movement image, a post-movement image storing unit 22 that stores an image of the calibration sheet captured after movement of a vehicle by a predetermined distance as a post-movement image, a post-movement camera posture estimating unit 26 that estimates the posture of the camera 10 based on the post-movement image, a deviation amount calculating unit 32 that calculates the deviation amount of the calibration sheet based on two estimation results, and a camera posture determining unit 34 that determines the posture of the camera 10 based on estimated values of the posture of the camera 10 and the deviation amount of the calibration sheet.
