RICE COOKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of preventing superheated steam from jetting from a lid part to an outside of a pot when a lid is opened in the rice cooker including a superheated steam generation device capable of further raising the temperature of the superheated steam and achieving the miniaturization of the device.SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a steam generator 28 that generates steam, the superheated steam generation device 15, a float 25, a float detector 27, and a controller 24. When the float detector 27 detects rising of glutinous water or that the lid 3 is opened, the electric conduction of the steam generator 28 and the superheated steam generation device 15 is made to stop or they are made to be brought into a conducting state by the action state of the rice cooker. Thus, when determining that the lid 3 is opened, the superheated steam is prevented from jetting from the lid 3 to the outside of the pot 2.
