DUMMY LOAD DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dummy load device having a simple configuration applying a dummy load to a plurality of kinds of high frequency amplifiers and the like outputting high frequency signal waves of frequency bands different from each other.SOLUTION: Frequency band conversion means (a C band → S band tapered waveguide 12, and an X band → S band tapered waveguide 14) provided corresponding to a plurality kinds of high frequency signal sources (a C band AMP 4, and an X band AMP 1) outputting high frequency signal waves of predetermined frequency bands (a C band and an X band): converts the frequency bands (the C band and the X band) of the high frequency signal waves to one kind of specific frequency band (an S band); and outputs the waves as specific frequency band signal waves ma and mb. Signal wave selection means (a waveguide switch 15) selects one specific frequency band signal wave from the specific frequency band signal waves ma and mb output from each of the frequency band conversion means (the C band → S band tapered waveguide 12, and the X band → S band tapered waveguide 14). Power of the specific frequency band signal wave selected by the signal wave selection means (the waveguide switch 15) is consumed by a dummy load (a dummy load 17 for the S band).
