Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material composition for a solar cell, in which crosslinking time can be shortened without impairing crosslinking degree required for heat resistance indispensable to a sealing material for a solar cell, and further the crosslinking degree required for heat resistance indispensable to a sealing material for a solar cell is maintained even after long-term storage.SOLUTION: A sealing material composition for a solar cell includes: an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (a) containing 25 to 35 wt.% of structural units formed of vinyl acetate; and a crosslinking agent (b) represented by the following formula (1). The sealing material composition for a solar cell contains 0.1 to 2.5 pts.wt. of the crosslinking agent (b) based on 100 pts.wt. of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (a). (In the formula, R represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms.)
