Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a safety state of a signal path used for monitoring a safety state without blocking the signal path.SOLUTION: A safety monitoring input device comprises: a pulse train signal detector for detecting a pulse train signal; and a safety state determination unit for determining a safety state of a path through which the pulse train signal is transmitted with reference to a detection result of the pulse train signal. A pulse train signal generation unit generates pulse train signals having different phases to a plurality of paths for determining the safety state, respectively.
