BEARING FOR WATER PUMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for a water pump which does not cause a problem of abrasion of a retainer for a roller and reduces the influence by thrust force due to the roller to a sealing device to decrease the abrasion of the sealing device.SOLUTION: The bearing for water pump includes: an outer ring 3 formed with a flange bending part 31b at least at one side in an axial direction and having an inner peripheral orbit 3a of a cylindrical shape; a rotary shaft 2 having an outer peripheral orbit 2a of a cylindrical shape facing the inner peripheral orbit 3a of the outer ring 3 and having an extended part protruded outward in the axial direction from both ends of the outer ring 3; a group of rollers 4 inserted between the inner peripheral orbit 3a of the outer ring 3 and the cylindrically shaped outer peripheral orbit 2a of the roller bearing; and an sealing device 6 mounted at one side of the outer ring 3 and sealing an annular space between the outer ring 3 and the rotary shaft 2. A roller retainer 14 having a pocket storing the group of rollers 4 is restricted in the movement in the axial direction by the contact with the flange bending part 31b. The sealing device 6 is press inserted in the flange bending part 31b.
