FUEL INJECTION VALVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of stabilizing the valve closing response by restraining change of squeezing force caused by wear of the contact portion of a fixed core and a movable core.SOLUTION: The injector (fuel injection valve) for switching a nozzle hole by reciprocating a valve member integrally with a movable core by on/off energization of a coil is provided with a ring-like projection part 551 projecting to the axial direction in a movable counter surface of the movable core facing the fixed core. An undulation 57 with its height changed like a wave in the circumferential direction is formed on the end face of the projection part 551 by a plating layer 59 on a base material 58. At the energization of the coil, the peak 571 portions of the undulation 57 collide with and come in contact with the fixed core. By repetition of the operation, the peak 571 portions as the contact portions are worn but valley 572 portions are not worn. Therefore, the contact area change by the wear is made smaller so that the squeezing force change determined by the contact area is restrained. Thereby, the valve closing response is stabilized.
