PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by allowing image data for forming image in an image forming apparatus to be easily displayed on a portable terminal, and provide high convenience to a user.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 stores image data transmitted from an information processor 20 in an HDD or the like of the apparatus itself and transmits an e-mail to portable terminals 30, 40 and 50 which support a format of the image data. When receiving a transmission request of the image data from one of the portable terminals 30, 40 and 50 to which it has transmitted the e-mail, the image forming apparatus 10 converts the image quality of the image data into an image quality with which the image data can be displayed on the portable terminal and then transmits the image data. Thus, even if the portable terminals 30, 40 and 50 cannot display the image data stored in the image forming apparatus as it is due to problems such as file format and definition enabling a display device to display an image, users of the terminals can confirm the content of the image data by displaying the image data on a display screen so as to use the image data.
