Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting defects in a tire, capable of accurately detecting a thinly spread protrusion defect of the tire surface.SOLUTION: Prior to the start of a step S1, two-dimensional images including a slit light image are continuously acquired in advance. In the step S1, a slit light image is extracted from the plurality of two-dimensional shot image data. In a step S2, an eccentric component which is deviation resulting from eccentricity is removed from the extracted slit light image. In a step S3, a feature value is calculated based on the light image excluding the eccentric component. In a step S4, a thinly spread protrusion defect is detected based on the calculated feature value.
