MECHANICAL PARKING FACILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical parking facility which can arrange an elevating drive device for driving to lift a lifting body at a lower position, suppress an overall height of the parking facility, and effectively utilize a planar space.SOLUTION: A mechanical parking facility includes: an elevator carrier 16 lifted along a hoistway 12; an elevating drive device 20 lifting the elevator carrier 16 in a vertical direction by winding and unwinding a rope 21 suspended from above by a frictional driving force; and a counter weight 22 reducing a winding force for the elevator carrier 16 by the elevating drive device 20. Parking shelves 13 storing pallets are provided on sides of the hoistway 12. The elevating drive device 20 is arranged at a lower position of an elevator type parking facility 1. A lifting drive system 50 is provided so that the rope 21 wound and unwound by the elevating drive device 20 is guided to an upper position of the hoistway 12 from the lower position of the elevator type parking facility 1, the rope 21 suspends the elevator carrier 16, and the counter weight 22 is suspended at a predetermined position.
