CURTAIN AIRBAG DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain airbag device which includes an airbag containing first and second developing portions and suppresses the flow rate of a gas flowing toward the lower part of a vehicle during a stage of developing the first developing portion.SOLUTION: The curtain airbag 12 constituting the curtain airbag device 10 includes a gas supply passage 35 which extends in the front-to-rear direction on the upper part of the curtain airbag 12 and leads forward a gas from an inflator 25, a front main chamber 36F which develops downward with the gas supplied from the gas supply passage 35 when a side collision or rollover occurs, a front sub-chamber 40 which develops with the gas supplied from the gas supply passage 35 or front main chamber 36F at least when a rollover occurs, and a non-inflating portion (gas flow guide portion) 68 which dams up a forward gas flow in front of a gas passage 54 leading from the gas supply passage 35 to the front main chamber 36F to guide the gas flow to the front main chamber 36F.
