ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector which can maintain strength and connection stability and realizes stable fitting while achieving miniaturization (saving of board occupation area) and a low profile.SOLUTION: When fitting together a plug connector and a receptacle connector of an electrical connector 10, they are positioned in a width direction by engaging a positioning concave part 221 of a block 22 with a positioning convex part 423 of a housing 42. Stable connection is realized by adjusting backup of a receptacle contact 44 by forming an inclined part 445 of the receptacle contact 44 and an inclined part 422 of an insertion hole 421 of the housing 42 into the substantially same shape. A click feeling is obtained by engaging a first chamfered part 446 of the receptacle contact 44 with a concave part 243 of a plug contact 24. Further, stable connection is realized by positioning and bringing into contact a contact part 421 and an elastic part 444 so as to sandwich the plug contact 24.
