Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling capability or heating capability by reducing a heat conduction loss of a material container in which a heat transportation medium performs heat exchange with a magneto-caloric effect material in a magnetic refrigeration system.SOLUTION: The magnetic refrigeration system is equipped with a material container 25 in which a magneto-caloric effect material 26 is arranged so that a heat transportation medium can pass in a case with both ends opened, a reciprocation pump for making the heat transportation medium reciprocate in the material container 25, and a magnetic field change impartment mechanism which applies a magnetic field or removes the applied magnetic field to/from the magneto-caloric effect material 26 in the material container 25. In the system, a heat insulation layer 60 is formed at a thick wall of the case constituting the material container 25 in a direction where the heat transportation medium passes, and a slit-like heat insulation part 61 is provided at an outer peripheral part of the material container 25 in a direction vertical to a direction where the heat transportation medium passes. The material container 25 may be formed by inserting an inner case into an outer case.
