ELEVATOR SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance transport capability without increasing an occupied space of an elevator, and to simplify the operation control of a one-shaft multi-car by simplifying a traffic flow.SOLUTION: In an elevator system composed of at least one main shaft corresponding to transportation between a reference floor and general floors mainly, a plurality of cars traveling independently are disposed in the main shaft, elevator hall doors are provided at the front side and the back side on the reference floor of the main shaft, respectively, the general floors of the main shaft are divided into a plurality of zones, the elevator hall door is provided at either of the front side and the back side for each zone, and a car door is provided at only the elevator hall door side of the zone assigned to its own number machine for each car of the main shaft.
