Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for an endoscope with the safety and an operation stability, in which there is no risk that an operator gets an electrical shock at all even if he/she touches a heat sink when opening an opening/closing door even a little and inserted a hand from a lamp exchange window.SOLUTION: The light source device for the endoscope includes: a locking mechanism 9 and 12 provided for the opening/closing door 7 which can open/close the lamp exchange window 6 externally to manually lock/unlock the opening/closing door 7 to the lamp exchange window 6; a conductive spring 13 for electrically conducting a pair of heat sinks 5 by coming into contact with both of the pair of heat sinks 5 at the same time when the locking mechanism 9 and 12 is in an unlocked state; and a spring pressing member 14 for elastically deforming the conductive spring 13 to be in a state of being separated from both of the pair of heat sinks 5 when the locking mechanism 9 and 12 is made in a locked state.
