Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which can perform dust removal operation without being aware of a charging state of a power storage means.SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a dust collection container 3 detachably provided to the vacuum cleaner body 1 having an electric blower 2 for generating suction wind. The dust collection container 3 includes: a dust removing means (not shown) for oscillating an inner wall or compositions of the dust collection container 3; an electric double layer capacitor S37 for storing an electric energy for supplying the power to a dust removing motor 46 for driving the dust removing means; a dust removing switch 34 for electrically connecting the dust removing motor 46 and the electric double layer capacitor S37; a solar battery 28; and a first charging means 24 for charging the electric energy generated by the solar battery 28 to the electric double layer capacitor S37. Without supply of the electric energy from the vacuum cleaner body 1 by a commercial power 12, the electric energy can be stored in the electric double layer capacitor S37. Thus, even a single body of the dust collection container 3 can perform the dust removing operation by the operation of the dust removing switch 34.
