FUEL CELL AND FUEL CELL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which can easily and reliably seal oxidant gas and fuel gas, and a fuel cell system.SOLUTION: A fuel cell includes a fuel cell structure 10 generating electric energy by an electrochemical reaction between air (oxidant gas) and hydrogen (fuel gas). The fuel cell structure 10 includes: an air passage 2 through which air flows and in which a first opening 21 is formed on one end side thereof and the other end side is closed; a hydrogen passage 3 through which hydrogen flows and in which a second opening 31 is formed on one end side thereof and the other end side is closed; an air electrode 22 provided on the inner wall surface of the air passage 2; a hydrogen electrode 32 provided on the inner wall surface of the hydrogen passage 3; and a solid electrolyte body 12 provided such that one surface thereof is brought into contact with the air electrode 22 and the other surface is brought into contact with the hydrogen electrode 32.
