Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing paper that has a low density, and is excellent in smoothness, opacity, and surface strength.SOLUTION: The printing paper includes a raw material pulp having a Canadian standard freeness of 100-300 ml, titanium dioxide and silica in the paper as filler in a solid mass ratio of 20-25 mass% in which the ratio of titanium dioxide:silica is 40-90:60-10. It is preferable that smoothness is 100-150 seconds, opacity is 84% or greater and density is less than 0.80 g/cm.
