Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a status detecting device which effectively removes an internal air bubble even when a fluid flows in a forward direction and backward direction.SOLUTION: The status detecting device 1 is interposed in a duct and detects the status of a fluid passing through a duct. The status detecting device 1 includes: a fluid collecting portion 2, interposed in the duct, for collecting the fluid passing through the duct; an inlet portion 4 for making the fluid flow into the fluid collecting portion 2; an outlet portion 5 for making the fluid flow out from the fluid collecting portion 2; an inlet hole 8 positioned at the rear end of the inlet portion 4 and an outlet hole 9 positioned at the front end of the outlet portion 5, which are provided above the vertical center of the fluid collecting portion 2 being normally mounted. The angle between a flow-in direction axis representing the flow-in direction of the fluid flowing from the inlet hole 8 through the center of the inlet hole 8, and a flow-out direction axis representing the flow-out direction of the fluid flowing out from the outlet hole 9 through the center of the outlet hole 9 is not less than 140 degrees but not more than 170 degrees.
