Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phototherapy apparatus for facilitating pain relief and wound healing by irradiating a living body with light from a semiconductor light-emitting element, detecting that safety goggles for preventing a risk has been properly worn when the apparatus is used, and securing safety of an operator with respect to an accident, such as radiation error, in the phototherapy apparatus.SOLUTION: The phototherapy apparatus detects that an operator wears safety goggles 8 for protecting eyes of the operator from light output from a semiconductor light-emitting element 2 by signals from a contact switch 10 arranged on right and left pads 20 of the safety goggles 8, so that the output light of the semiconductor light-emitting element 2 is controlled to protect eyes of the operator.
