Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus including a security system applicable to biometric analysis based on protein characteristic measurement by an X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometer.SOLUTION: An X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometer is used for detecting binding events between proteins and small molecules and measuring the binding selectivity between chemicals and receptors. The XRF may also be used for determining protein purity to estimate the therapeutic index of a chemical, for estimating the binding selectivity of a chemical versus chemical analogs to measure post-translational modifications of proteins, and for drug manufacturing, as well as for security systems.
