Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate for a display which can be made thin and lightweight, have high mechanical strength and transparency and can be produced in a short time, a method for producing the same, and a display using the same.SOLUTION: A compressive stress layer with a depth of 50 μm is formed by chemical reinforcing treatment on a the surface the glass substrate formed of a glass material containing 40 to 70 wt.% of SiO, 1 to 20 wt.% of AlO, 0 to 20 wt.% of NaO, 0 to 15 wt.% of LiO, 1 to 9 wt.% of ZrO, the total content of LiO and NaO being 3 to 20 wt.%.
