PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a performance of correcting distortion that appears in an L side image.SOLUTION: A CMOS type imaging apparatus provided in an optical/imaging system 12L has an L side imaging surface for capturing a left side view field VF_L. A CCD type imaging apparatus 12R provided in an optical/imaging system 12R has an R side imaging surface for capturing a right side view field VF_R partially in common with the left side view field F_L. A plurality of positions on the L side imaging surface are exposed at timing different from each other, and a plurality of positions on the R side imaging surface are simultaneously exposed. A CPU 34 refers to movements of the L side imaging surface to correct an L side image outputted from the optical/imaging system 12L. An image composition circuit 24 refers to an R side image outputted from the optical/imaging system 12R to correct the L side image corrected by the CPU 34.
