Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanner apparatus which performs calibration without using a calibration sheet.SOLUTION: An image scanner apparatus 10 captures images from a reading medium lighted by external light and includes an achromatic gray base sheet 13 on which the reading medium is placed. The base sheet 13 has an achromatic reference mark, which is different from a color of the base sheet 13, for indicating a reference position. When calibration is performed, the base sheet 13 functions as a calibration sheet.
