PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel printer driver allows control of a filter module provided by a third-party vendor and added to a printer driver employing a filter pipeline system.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, a printer driver is provided that includes a standard filter and an extension filter for configuring a filter pipeline, and a UI module which performs processing associated with print settings. The UI module includes an extension filter control part which mediates between an instruction processing part accepting instructions from an application and the extension filter, and the extension filter control part includes an extension filter information management part which acquires PrintCapabilities from the extension filter, and generates a conversion table in which values of Devmode generated based upon the PrintCapabilities and storage positions thereof, and keywords of PrintTicket are made to correspond to each other.
