PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper feeding failure caused by discharged printing paper erroneously getting into a casing from an introduction port even when performing printing using the printing paper delivered from a paper roll.SOLUTION: This printer 1 includes: a pair of right and left roll holders 200R, 200L for rotatably supporting both ends in the right and left directions, respectively, of the paper roll SR having the printing paper S wound therearound; an insertion port 104 for introducing the printing paper S delivered from the paper roll SR; a platen roller 111 for conveying the printing paper S; a thermal line head 112 for performing desired printing on the conveyed printing paper S; and substantially plate-like paper contact sheets 300R, 300L with lower ends thereof adhered to adhering parts AR, AL provided above a discharge port 107, and contacting the discharged printing paper S after printing curving upward from the discharge port 107 from the front side.
