PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of detecting the tendency of diagnostic reading by a diagnostic reading doctor on the basis of a diagnostic reading result and assisting diagnostic reading corresponding to the tendency of the diagnostic reading doctor.SOLUTION: A user is made to input a lesion position, and diagnostic reading result information including identification information of an image, identification information of the user and information of the lesion position is generated. The diagnostic reading result information associated with a certain user and diagnostic reading result information for which the identification information of the image is the same as the diagnostic reading result information and the identification information of the user who has performed diagnostic reading is different are compared, a determination different position where determination results of presence/no presence of a lesion are different between both is extracted, and difference information including the identification information of the user, information of an image type and information of the extracted determination different position is generated. When the user performs diagnostic reading, the identification information of the user and the information of the image type of the image of a diagnostic reading object are acquired, and on the basis of the difference information associated with it, an area for which it is determined that the user tends to make a determination different from that of the other users is emphatically displayed in the image of the diagnostic reading object.
