PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device which is capable of immediately correcting unsettled characters erroneously inputted by flick input or the like, by an easy operation.SOLUTION: A mobile terminal device 10 includes: a Japanese-language ten-key 15 by which a user inputs characters in accordance with a prescribed operation procedure; a character display unit 16 on which input characters are displayed; an acceleration sensor 12 which detects an impact direction at the time of tapping the mobile terminal device 10; and a control unit 11. The accelerator 12 detects which of upper, lower, left, right, front, and rear parts of the mobile terminal device 10 the user has tapped in a state where unsettled characters of which the input is not settled yet are displayed on the character display unit 16, and the control unit 11 corrects the unsettled characters on the basis of the detected impact direction.
