SAFETY HANDRAIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous assembling of a safety handrail to prevent handrail bars of the adjacent safety handrails from being displaced to each other in the forward and backward directions, concerning the safety handrail attached to a framework scaffold used in a construction site or a civil engineering work.SOLUTION: A safety handrail A is attached to a framework scaffold comprising: a plurality of frame bodies B, each of which has horizontal members 2 installed between a pair of front and rear stringers 1, 1 and which are arranged in line laterally; and a scaffold board 3. The safety handrail A comprises a handrail body 4 and a pair of left and right hooks 5l, 5r attached to a pair of left and right vertical supports 40l, 40r of the handrail body 4, respectively, and each of the hooks 5l, 5r has a hook piece 51a hooked on the horizontal member 2. The hook piece 51a, 51a of the adjacent safety handrails A, A are hooked on the same horizontal member 2 along an axis direction. The hook piece 51a of the hook 5l is arranged nearer to the scaffold board side with respect to the vertical supports 40l, 40r than the hook piece 51a of the other hook 5r by the thickness of the hook piece 51a, and the left hook 5l and/or the right hook 5r have erroneous assembling prevention means.
