Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of a hybrid vehicle, for improving fuel consumption by controlling an engaged state of a clutch provided in a power transmission path between an engine and an electric motor.SOLUTION: First energy E1 obtained by regeneration of an electric motor MG is calculated, and when the first energy E1 is larger than second energy E2 required for starting an engine 12, a clutch K0 is disengaged and the engine 12 is stopped. Thus, by disengaging the clutch K0 and performing regeneration on condition that the energy E1 obtained when the clutch K0 is disengaged and the regeneration is performed by the electric motor MG exceeds the energy E2 required for starting the engine 12, the fuel consumption is improved.
