Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NOx purifying catalyst that uses base metal as catalyst metal and has purifying capacity at a low temperature (250°C or lower) and at a high temperature (500°C or higher), a method for producing a carrier, a method for producing a catalyst, and an exhaust emission control device.SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purifying catalyst includes base metal nanoparticles dispersedly carried on a powdery carrier. The carrier contains at least ceria particles and zirconia particles, and the particle diameter of the ceria particles is smaller than that of the zirconia particles. It is preferable that the particle diameter of the ceria particles is 1-9 nm, that the percentage of the ceria particles to the zirconia particles is 5-30 wt.% and that the particle diameter of the zirconia particles is 5-50 nm. |
