Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a larger amount of taxanes from callus cells formed from Taxus plants, and a method for efficiently inducing callus from plant cells or plant tissue pieces.SOLUTION: The method for producing taxanes includes suspension-culturing callus cells formed from the plant cells or plant tissue pieces of Taxus plants, in a culture liquid containing microbubbles containing one or more kinds of gases selected from a group consisting of plant hormone, hydrogen gas and nitric oxide gas, and recovering taxanes from the callus cells or the culture liquid after culturing. The method for inducing callus includes a surface sterilizing step for sterilizing the plant cells or plant tissue pieces using a chlorine dioxide solution, and a culture step for culturing the plant cells or plant tissue pieces in a callus induction solid culture medium after the surface sterilizing step to induce callusing to thereby form callus cells.
