PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a conveyance route of a transfer material from being changed, to reduce transfer failures at the rear end of the transfer material, and to reduce jams.SOLUTION: An image forming device 10 is equipped with a pre-transfer guide 40 arranged on an upstream side in a conveyance direction of a transfer material P with respect to a transfer nip part N between a photoreceptor drum 22 and a transfer roller 28. The pre-transfer guide 40 includes: a first guide 51 whose position is fixed to guide the back side of the transfer material P; and a second guide 52 arranged on a downstream side in the conveyance direction of the transfer material P with respect to the first guide 51 and immediately before the transfer nip part N to guide the back side of the transfer material P, and to increase the gap with the surface of the photoreceptor drum 22 when an overload is applied by the transfer material P.
