Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor that can reduce a discharge fluid sound more than before.SOLUTION: The rotary compressor 100 includes: a compressor unit 10; a motor unit 9 that is connected to the compressor unit 10 via a main shaft 6 and drives the compressor unit 10; a hermetic container 8 that contains the compressor unit 10 and the motor unit 9; an extension muffler 50 that is provide in a discharge port 16b of the compressor unit 10, reduces the discharge fluid sound of a cooling medium discharged from the discharge port 16b and allows the cooling medium to flow into the hermetic container 8 from an outlet port 51. An insertion tube 40 is provided in the outlet port 51 of the extension muffler 50.
