Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to an increase in regeneration efficiency, and then prevent a pedal stroke from lengthening in rapid braking.SOLUTION: A master cylinder includes: a communication path 81 for communication between a reaction force liquid chamber 80 and a reservoir 12; and a seal member 70 for sealing working liquid of the reaction force liquid chamber 80 by closing, along with the movement of a reaction force piston 25 relative to a cylinder body 16, communication between the communication path 81 and the reaction force liquid chamber 80. The communication path 81 is configured such that the working liquid of the reaction force liquid chamber 80 can move to the reservoir 12 until the seal member 70 closes the communication between the communication path 81 and the reaction force liquid chamber 80, and an orifice 79 is provided at an intermediate position.
