CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD OF STEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method of steel preventing surface cracking of a cast slab more efficiently.SOLUTION: In the continuous casting method of the steel in which the cast slab having a rectangular section is extracted from a mold in a vertical direction, and then, drawn out in a horizontal direction, a range of 30 mm from one end to the other end of a short side forming a side face of the cast slab when the cast slab is drawn out in the horizontal direction and a range of 30 mm from the other end to the one end are spray-cooled by sprays for cooling the short side that are paired front and rear and right and left so that the range of 30 mm from one end to the other end of the short side and the range of 30 mm from the other end to one end are transformed into any one of a ferritic single phase structure, a pearlite structure and a bainite structure from an austenitic single phase before 300 seconds elapse after the surface temperature of the cast slab falls below 910°C.
