PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration of an information code reading device capable of decoding an information code, which, when the possibility of occurrence of reading mistakes is relatively high, increases confirmation frequency to reduce reading mistakes and, when the possibility of occurrence of reading mistakes is relatively low, decreases confirmation frequency to improve reading speed.SOLUTION: An information code reading device 1 includes determination means having confirmation frequency setting means for setting confirmation frequency of decode processing. The determination means compares actual measurement data that is obtained according to a measurement region width of at least any one of light color region and dark color region measured by region width measurement means with a predetermined standard data, and sets the confirmation frequency of decode processing on the basis of the comparison result.
