Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display device having high productivity and capable of performing multicolor display with a small parallax even when the display is observed in an oblique direction.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electrophoretic display device includes: a step of laminating a substrate 20 having pixel electrodes 21 on a transparent substrate 13 of a laminate film 10 having a transparent electrode layer 12 and an electrophoretic display layer 11, which comprises microcapsules fixed with a binder resin, the microcapsules encapsulating a dispersion liquid containing electrophoretic particles dispersed in a dispersion medium, the layers successively included in an order from the transparent substrate 13; and a step of forming color filter layers 15a, 15b, 15c corresponding to the pixel electrodes 21 on the substrate surface of the laminate film 10. The pixel electrodes 21 include a pixel electrode 22 in a pattern for aligning pixels, outside the display region of the electrophoretic device. In the step of forming the color filter layers 15a, 15b, 15c, the color filters 15a, 15b, 15c are formed by aligning the position of the pixel electrode 22 in a pattern for aligning the pixels.
