Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil insert easily insertable into a tap hole in a base material, without using a special exclusive tool.SOLUTION: This coil insert 1 includes a coil body 10 of helically winding a wire 11, and a handle member 20 for filling a hollow space 12 formed inside the coil body 10 and having a body 21 for holding the coil body 10. The body 21 of the handle member 20 includes a shape memory resin, and is characterized by releasing holding of the coil body 10 by thermally deforming the resin by giving heat to the body 21. The body 21 desirably holds the coil body 10 while compressing the wire 11.
