Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with trouble caused by an optical sheet arranged between a reflecting plate and a display panel of a backlight.SOLUTION: The optical module 19 includes a polarizing plate 40, a light source 25 with light-emitting bodies 26, and a reflective deflection sheet 30. The polarizing plate includes a polarizer 41, and a polarizing plate protection film 50 jointed with the polarizer. The polarizing plate protection film has a light control function for changing a traveling direction of light. The reflective deflection sheet has a reflecting surface 30a arranged at a position to be faced to the polarizing plate protection film, and reflecting light from the light-emitting bodies received from a side facing to the polarizing plate protection film toward the polarizing plate protection film. An inclination angle θa of the reflecting surface of the reflective deflection sheet changes continuously or discontinuously in accordance with a distance from the light-emitting bodies.
