PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which accurately forecasts energy consumption of a target subject.SOLUTION: An energy consumption forecasting system 1 comprises: a communication unit 11 which connects with a data source D; an event detection unit 13 for detecting an event concerning a target subject by identifying and analyzing data concerning the target subject among data acquired by the communication unit 11 to generate event information; an energy consumption storage unit 14 for storing the event information and information based on target subject energy consumption; and an energy consumption forecasting unit 16 for using the event information of the event which occurs in a certain unit time in future and the information based on the target subject energy consumption to calculate forecast energy consumption indicating an amount of energy probably consumed by the target subject in the certain unit time.
