Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, in an operation method of a power generation system for supplying electricity and heat generated upon power generation, that when an operating plan of the power generation unit is formed, loss of heat release in a pipe connecting a power generation unit and a hot water storage tank is not calculated or has a large error even if calculated.SOLUTION: The operation method of the power generation system includes steps of: storing a past electric power demand and heat demand; predicting a future electric power demand and heat demand on the basis of the electric power demand and heat demand; calculating an amount of heat release in a heat transfer route, on the basis of at least one of an amount of power generation in the power generation unit and a flow rate of a heating medium w; forming the operating plan of the power generation unit on the basis of the amount of heat release and at least one of the predicted future electric power demand and the predicted future heat demand; and operating the power generation unit on the basis of the operating plan.
