Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-quality lithium transition metal complex oxide even in the case of using a hot-air firing furnace using a flame formed by combustion of hydrocarbon fuel or oxygen-containing hydrocarbon fuel as a heat source.SOLUTION: The hot-air firing furnace 10 is provided with a product heating part 12 holding a raw material mixture 44, a plurality of heat-accumulator holding parts 13a, 13b, heat-accumulators 14a, 14b held in the heat-accumulator holding parts 13a, 13b, burners 15a, 15b placed in the heat-accumulator holding parts 13a, 13b for heating the heat-accumulators 14a, 14b, and a gas flow channel 18 and an air flow channel 19 to supply the hydrocarbon fuel and air supplied from a gas supply source 16 and an air supply source 17 to the burners 15a, 15b. Heating gas supply channels 22a, 22b provided with on-off valves 23a, 23b are extended from the heat-accumulator holding parts 13a, 13b to the product heating part 12, and the heating gas supply channel 22 at the downstream-side of the heating gas supply channels 22a, 22b is connected to a partition wall 12a of the product heating part 12.
