Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithium ion capacitor excellent in mass productivity and easily allowing occlusion of lithium ions into a negative electrode in advance, and the negative electrode used in the lithium ion capacitor.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a negative electrode plate of a lithium ion capacitor including: an electrode group formed by arranging via a separator a positive electrode plate in which a first metal foil is coated with an active material and a negative electrode plate in which a second metal foil is coated with the active material; a nonaqueous electrolyte; and a container for housing the electrode group and the nonaqueous electrolyte, comprises the steps of: coating a surface of the second metal foil with an electrode material; and forming a lithium film on a surface of the electrode material formed at the coating step.
