Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orientation substrate for film formation and superconducting wire material having high strength while maintaining a superior orientation.SOLUTION: An orientation substrate 5A for film formation comprises: a first metal layer 1 which has no orientation and non-magnetic property; and a second metal layer 2 bonded to the first metal layer 1 and having aggregate structure in which at least a surface layer is oriented. The first metal layer 1 has higher strength than that of the second metal layer 2.
