Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner having a favorable rise from charging and capable of reproducing a stable image for a long period without being affected by a change in temperature and humidity even when performing repeated development by continuous use.SOLUTION: A method for stably applying static charge to toner for electrostatic charge image development comprises a step of including a charge control agent which includes a metal-complex compound represented by a general formula (1), in the toner for electrostatic charge image development. When 1 wt.% of the metal-complex compound is dispersed in ion-exchange water, an electric conductivity thereof is 110 μS/cm or less. (In the formula, M represents a metal coordination center such as Fe. Ar is a substituted or non-substituted aryl group. X and Y are -O- or the like. Krepresents a sodium ion or the like or may be a mixture thereof. m represents 1, 2, 3 or 6, p is an atomic valence of metal M, n represents 1, 2, or 4, and q represents 0 or an integer.)
